Academic writing tends toward longer paragraphs, 150–250 words is common in research papers. Web writing goes shorter. Blog paragraphs often run 50–100 words because screens are harder to read.

One-sentence paragraphs work for emphasis. A whole page without a break doesn't, your reader will bail.
